I’m really feeling the new stuff that has been coming out lately by certain fresh acts:
They’re really pushing things forward! Great to see DnB is getting you a new kick every time you seem to manage to keep pace with the trend. Good times.

Our album on Basswerk is now available as single 320″ MP3s on their website (1.50€ each).
Btw, I’m glad the 12″ album sampler (Deep Throat b/w Mofo) sells better than Fresh’s new album (at least at Juno, hehe…) (thanks, Complex!)

Tom Amaning (Metalheadz, Renegade Rec.) and I know each other from the various parties of the vibrant Cologne DnB scene. Being both somehow related to the Basswerk camp, we decided to do a tune together, so we created “Sienna” in a couple of relaxed sessions at my studio. Tom then managed all the biz thing with UK based label Jerona Fruits, on which the tune is scheduled for release, as part of a compilation AFAIK. The tune’s vibe combines influences from the two of us, giving it some kind of a Matrix style while pouring in our respective trademark sounds – as far as they exist :) It’s always fun to work with someone different, and Tom also is a very nice guy to hang around with, so we might repeat the whole thing somewhen soon.
Update: Sienna has been released as opener of Jerona Fruit’s Global Sessions Vol. 2. Listen to a clip on their myspace site.

From Wired: A new jazz album draws on cryptography and number theory for its riffs and rhythms. Listen to saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa’s melodies with audio clips of digits turned into notes. Interesting approach.

Check this massive database! They even have screenshots for every single plugin. Nice!
